Behavioral Health Services at Providence Provides Therapeutic Care for the Mind, Body and Spirit
We all experience mood swings from time to time, but sometimes challenging life circumstances result in a decrease in emotional or behavioral functioning and feelings of helplessness or hopelessness can follow. Unresolved, these feelings can lead to debilitating mental health conditions or chemical dependency.
Providence’s Behavioral Health Services provides compassionate care that supports healing of the mind, body, and spirit for patients needing psychiatric or mental health and addiction treatment services.
Our treatment is based on the belief that all human beings have a desire to live a full life and have the ability to grow and change. Behavioral Health Services at Providence provide an environment that encourages growth and change, while maintaining each patient’s self-esteem, dignity, and right to privacy. Services are designed to help support you and your family through challenging times and serious conditions.
Customized Treatment at Providence
Providence’s Behavioral Health Services provides a full range of comprehensive, outpatient behavioral health treatments, including partial day treatment, as well as physician consultation and outreach. All treatments are customized to the needs of the patient for optimal results. Providence also offers partial hospital and intensive outpatient programs, which provide structured, time-limited transitional services for adults experiencing serious impairment in psychosocial functioning, or are struggling with an addiction.
The Behavioral Health Services team is comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, therapists, psychiatric technicians and counselors and offer a broad spectrum of services, including:
The program begins with a thorough medical and psychosocial evaluation by licensed physicians. Realizing that family support is critical to all patients, the treatment program also provides education and counseling for family members.
Addiction is a chronic, but treatable brain disorder in which people lose the ability to control their need for alcohol or other drugs. Over 23 million people struggle with addiction every day, yet only 10% receive the life changing treatment they need. Because the decision to change isn’t always made during “normal” business hours, Addiction Treatment Service is available 24 hours a day; 7 days a week
Dendency on substances such as alcohol, marijuana, cocaine and heroin can limit a person’s existence, but with treatment and support patients can live and enjoy a full and productive life. Providence supports patients as they seek independence and joy through their recovery.
Addiction Treatment provides comprehensive customized care for individuals suffering with substance addiction. The dedicated inpatient and outpatient staffs understand the various causes of addiction, and develop personalized treatment plans for each person.
