Care Management for Follow-Up Medical Service
In the event you need supportive services upon your discharge from Providence Hospital, the Care Management social workers and nurses will assist you with coordinating in-home and outpatient follow-up services. For more information, call (202) 269-7940.
Dialysis services are provided on-site by Fresenius Medical Care of Northeast.
Specialty Services for Hearing Impaired Patients
Sign Language (ASL) is provided with nationally certified ASL Interpreters to facilitate communication related to patient care. In addition, patients are provided with TTY/TDD phones to facilitate contact with family and friends during their stay. Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing patients should contact the Communications department at (202) 269-7125 to obtain TTY/TDD phones.
Round-the-Clock Interpreter Services
Interpreter services are available to assist non-English speaking or limited-English speaking patients and families during their hospital stay. Services are provided by Pacific Interpreters, and can be requested 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patients are encouraged to request interpretation assistance when scheduling their appointment. Meals on Wheels
Providence gives continued support to Meals On Wheels daily. For more information, call (202) 635-8985.
Compassionate Spiritual Assistance from Providence Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care professionals assist with your spiritual needs during your stay. This care also extends to your family or caregiver. For more information, call (202) 269-7921.
Senior Connection Encourages Healthy, Active Adults
Senior Connection is a network of specially designed services to help persons 60 years and older stay informed, remain active, and maintain good health. A $20.00 annual fee opens the door to priceless amounts of information, resources, referrals, amenities, and activities. Call (202) 269-7041 or (202) 269-7044.
Free Transportation for Local Patients
Providence Hospital provides FREE transportation services to patients in the community who are unable to get to their physician’s office due to a lack of transportation. For more information, call (202) 269-3146.
Daily Shuttle Services to and from the Brookland/Catholic University Metro rail station run every 15-20 minutes during specific hours. Click here for a the schedule or pick up a copy from the driver or the main information desk.
Golf Cart Shuttle Service is available to transport guests, staff, and physicians to and from the main hospital and Carroll Manor from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (excluding holidays and weekends). Call (202) 269-7000 for service
